The hawse fairleads are better for use with synthetic line as it won't catch in the corners of the rollers which are better for metal rope. So really it depends on what type of rope/line you plan to use. Wire rope go roller, synthetic rope go a hawse style. view full answer...
In regards to the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR and Yakima RidgeBack 4 Bike Rack part # Y02458, I give the nod to Yakima. They are both very similar options (tilting feature, anti-sway cradles, 1-1/4"/2" Hitch, etc.) but the Yakima does come with a hitch lock and it's a few pounds lighter.
